Connecting the South Central Coast and the Central Highlands – Expanding Development Opportunities
The Khanh Hoa – Buon Ma Thuot Expressway is considered a strategic gateway project, creating a new development corridor between Vietnam’s South Central Coast and Central Highlands. Beyond significantly reducing travel time, the expressway serves as an important economic driver connecting two regions with considerable development potential.
During 2022–2023, Thống Nhất Infrastructure Consulting Joint Stock Company was responsible for reviewing the technical designs and cost estimates for both Phase 1 and Phase 2 of the project. The work included assessing roadbed and pavement design solutions, bridge and tunnel structures, as well as conducting detailed evaluations of the region’s complex terrain and geological conditions.
Drawing on practical experience from numerous major transportation infrastructure projects, Thống Nhất provided feasible design recommendations aimed at ensuring safety while optimizing project costs. Particular attention was given to technical solutions suitable for the distinctive climatic, geological, and soil conditions of the Central Highlands.
Upon completion, the Khanh Hoa – Buon Ma Thuot Expressway will not only improve passenger and freight transportation but also create new opportunities for investment, tourism, and service development. The project demonstrates Thống Nhất’s capabilities and continued commitment to contributing to major national infrastructure developments.
